WHO WE ARE
The National Livestock Farmers Association of South Africa (NaLFA-SA) is a rebrand of the commodity National Emergent Red meat Producers Organisation. We are a coalition of black farmer associations and entities in the red meat industry in South Africa that serves to advocate and lobby for transformation of the red meat industry and contribute significantly to economic growth. Members of the association are district based to enable empowerment at grassroots in the districts. District associations and entities affiliate with the national structure. The Association is managed by an executive management committee and national executive council, which is nominated by the district leadership.
NaLFA SA envisages growth and meaningful participation of black farmers in all value chain nodes from primary production, trading, feedlot, and abattoirs to contribute towards red meat industry goals stated in the Agriculture and Agro-processing Master Plan for South Africa.
MISSION
To Lobby and Advocate proactively for legislation and policies that enforce impactful Transformation in the entire value chain of the red meat industry.
VISION
To have an inclusive redmeat industry that is driven by a majority of commercialised Black persons.
